Yankee Road Improvement Phase 3 Begins

The Butler County Engineer's Office reports that Phase 3 of the Yankee Road improvement project has gotten underway. This involves a bridge widening just south of Wyandot Lane. The majority of Phase 3 will be performed while maintaining local traffic; however, a one day closure will be necessary. That closure is tentatively scheduled for Tuesday, October 17th, weather permitting.

Phase 2 of this project, a bridge replacement between Wyandot Lane and Princeton Road, is still under construction and Yankee remains closed to all traffic at this location.

Yankee Road Phases 2 and 3 Maintenance of Traffic

The BCEO reminds motorists that Yankee Road is officially closed to all thru traffic between Dutchland Parkway and Princeton Road in an effort to reduce traffic in the construction zones. Local access is being maintained for residents and businesses along Yankee and to adjoining subdivisions.

Local residents living between the two closed bridges will be required to utilize Wyandot Lane to access their portion of Yankee Road until the bridge south of Wyandot reopens to traffic.

Yankee Road Phases 2 and 3 official detour for thru traffic: Northbound Yankee Road traffic will detour north on Cincinnati-Dayton Road and west on Princeton Road to Yankee.Southbound traffic will reverse this route.

Motorists are encouraged to check the BCEO website as the best source for possible date and status changes concerning this project, associated phases and closures.
