The Butler County Engineer's Office (BCEO) reports that Yankee Road will close between Dutchland Parkway and Maple Creek Drive beginning Monday, March 26 as the final construction phase of the Yankee Road widening gets underway. Construction was suspended in mid-December for the winter and the road was re-opened to thru traffic.
Yankee Road will close to thru and commuter traffic but access will be maintained for local residents and businesses. Wilhelmina Drive will be closed at Yankee Road necessitating that residents of Dutchland Woods and adjoining subdivisons enter and exit via Dutchland Parkway or Maple Creek Drive. Additionally, the north access drive to the Lakota Family YMCA will be closed. YMCA access off of Yankee Road will be via the south drive only.
Yankee Road detour for thru and commuter traffic: Northbound Yankee Road traffic will detour north on Cincinnati-Dayton Road and west on Princeton Road to Yankee. Southbound traffic will reverse this route.
